David Leslie
Born Edinburgh 1933, educated at George Heriot's School. After National Service, I joined what is now National Air Traffic Services and spent most of my working life at the Scottish and Oceanic Air Traffic Control Centre at Prestwick, Ayrshire. On retirement I returned to Edinburgh in 1993.
Mainly involved in black and white photography, my interest in the Bromoil Process was triggered by seeing the image "December Morning" by Kirk Toft, a member of the Bromoil Circle of Great Britain, in the (now defunct) Creative Monochrome yearbook "Best of Friends", No. 5.
I became a member of the Circle in October 2004.
